So much of our understanding of what it means to be "healthy" has been tainted by colonialism and Eurocentric standards. Many people in our Black, Latinx, and Indigenous have been disempowered by Western medicine, and the American Medical System continues to strip our communities of their autonomy on a regular basis.
CareByChlo is a virtual platform designed to provide marginalized people the resources needed to be in control of their health. CareByChlo covers issues related to maternity care, reproductive health, mental health, substance abuse, healthy eating, and much more.
Services
What’s Available
Birth Doula
Birth Doulas provide non-medical support to pregnant persons during labor and delivery.

Birth Doula services include:
Birth plan consultation
3-5 prenatal visits
24-hour support in the final 2 weeks of the 3rd trimester
Uninterrupted support during hospital and/or home births
Pain management during labor and delivery
2 postpartum visits
Postpartum Doula
Postpartum Doulas provide non-medical support to parents during the postpartum period.

Postpartum Doula services vary depending on the needs of the client. Some available services include: light housekeeping, meal prep, and babysitting. All postpartum packages include 3 postpartum visits.
Overnight Doula
Overnight Doulas provide non-medical support to parents overnight during the postpartum period.
Overnight Doula services are offered between 10pm-8am and are intended to help parents with night feedings for babies older than 8 weeks.
Additional Overnight Doula services may vary depending on the needs of the client. Other services available: in-home meal prep and light housework.
Lactation Counseling
Lactation Counselors provide clinical breastfeeding management and support.

Lactation counseling services will be available in February 2022.
